Gorgeous sunlight breezed through the stained glass windows of the Lakeville United Methodist church on the lovely June Saturday where the bride and groom committed to one another.

Adorned with royal blue details, the bride and groom selected simplistically beautiful elements to celebrate their day.

The groom wore a camouflage vest, perfectly blending the traditional wedding theme with a flair of personal style.

A jovial mood swept the church as bride and groom readied themselves to walk down the aisle.

The planning and details all came together as the bridal party made their way into the sanctuary as the bride and groom sealed their commitment to one another.

The party came alive as the couple held their reception at Christo's Banquet Center.  There was a not moment throughout the night when the dance floor was empty.  It was such a fun celebration for all involved!

A Garden Celebration of Love https://www.sherkphotography.com/blog/2016/11/a-garden-celebration-of-love A Community Affair

Hannah and Patrick's wedding took place in the backyard of the bride's childhood home.  Although a beautiful property before, the months of preparation all came together on the morning of the wedding. There could not have been a more perfect setting for these two to express their love and celebrate their vows.  Everyone pitched in to transform the already gorgeous backyard into the setting for a globally-infused wedding celebration.

Each element of the Deaton's wedding was carefully thought out and designed with love.  I was amazed at how much the community of Hannah and Patrick pitched in to pull off such a perfect day. Friends and family created music, flower arrangements, center pieces, and hors d'evours.

Despite a rainy morning, friends and family finished getting the house and yard in order while the bride and groom readied themselves for the ceremony.

Separately, Hannah and Patrick left the homestead and ventured to a local bridge for a moment to themselves before the ceremony. Once the sun was shining, Hannah and Patrick headed to a local park to spend some time together for a first look before the ceremony.

During the session, a young bagpiper could be heard playing in the distance. He was kind enough to pose with the bride and groom on their wedding day!

The love that Hannah and Patrick displayed for one another and each guest was seen in every detail of their globally-infused garden wedding. Most notably, was the live music keeping rhythm throughout the day. Click on the music below to hear Taylor Rae and Sweet Poison Victim.

Sweet Poison Victim Patrick and Nathan were able to join Dr. Kwesi Brown and Sweet Poison Victim during the reception! Click the photo to hear Sweet Poison Victim.

The music set the pace for an incredible ceremony.

Guests mingled during the backyard cocktail party before a seated dinner in the front of the house. Origami place cards directed attendees to their seats. Each table had a one-of-a-kind centerpiece.

The Catablu Grille out of Fort Wayne catered the affair. The dining room of the Miller's house was transformed into a spectacular buffet.

The day turned into the night and guests returned to the backyard for a night of dancing and relaxing with friends.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Deaton!

A Wedding on Mackinac Island https://www.sherkphotography.com/blog/2016/11/a-wedding-on-mackinac-island A Mackinac Island Wedding — this one phrase conjures all of the simplistically perfect comfort, hope, and hard work that unites any family. Mackinac Island is unspoiled cars, and its location surrounded by Lake Huron makes it easy to unplug, unwind, and take a deep breath needed to focus your heart and mind on the things in life that truly matter.

The true things in life were never more evidently seen than the union of the Hyndman and Bradley family. Their intimate wedding took place at The Inn at Stonecliffe, a grand bed and breakfast that once hoped to serve as the summer President's House. Located roughly forty minutes (by horse and carriage) from the main area of Mackinac, the Inn set the tone for a wedding of classic elegance.

Those who are fortunate enough to know either Jesica or Peter understand exactly why everyone was so willing to pitch in to help these two prepare for their special day. Both are incredibly kind, compassionate individuals who are giving of themselves, selflessly, every day. They are the kind of people who dedicate their lives to public service and who see the best in each person they meet no mater what circumstances come their way. I am incredibly proud to have been able to be a part of their wedding, and was amazed at how the personalities of both came out in each and every detail of their bicycle themed wedding.

"A cord of three strands is not easily broken" Ecclesiastes 4:12"A cord of three strands is not easily broken" Ecclesiastes 4:12

Jesica and Pete chose to tie together a strand to symbolize their love for one another and their devotion to God as the common thread throughout their marriage.

The ceremony was sealed with a kiss and the newly weds headed back to the Inn to enjoy a reception, complete with an ice cream sundae bar!

While Pete and Jes are beautiful on their own, they are able to be even more compassionate, able to give more, and able to spread their love together and with the support of those who love them most.
